I am happy that Dr.B.B.Hegde First Grade College is making a name for itself in the academic arena with its impressive performance in various fields – academics, sports, fine-arts, literature, soft skills and campus placement. Amidst various achievements of the college, the most striking one for me is the First Prize that our college magazine, Shikhara, has won in the University Level Inter- Collegiate Magazine Contest – Category I in successive two years.

I am very passionate about being associated with the educational institutions. I believe that the education is an important tool available for the people to surmount their problems.Given that, the educational institutions have the responsibility and the need to guide the students to become responsible citizens of the country by acquiring knowledge, gaining wisdom, developing healthy attitudes and imbibing virtues and values.

With the presence of committed and dedicated team of teachers, highly disciplined and virtuous students in the college and tremendous public support, I foresee better days ahead for the institution and I am enthralled to be a part of this envisioned journey.
